He is looking at our early Christmas present from my Mom and Dad ...a tv! So far it's only being used for DVD's but that will all change Saturday when the dish guy comes to the house. Tomorrow Santa will be at daycare and I'm not sure how he's going to do. He did get back on the horse so we shall see...
We'd just left the doctor's office- I took him in yesterday afternoon because he fell into a table at daycare and there was bleeding and slight discoloration of the gum at the point of impact. The doctor checked him over and told me to keep on eye on his mouth, but since he wasn't having any trouble eating or drinking he was probably fine. That's his cup from daycare- when I got there they were just finishing their snack and he wasn't quite ready to hand over his milk. They painted yesterday, hence the green and purple paint on his arms.
Unfortunately Tomas had a fever of 100.5 this morning so we stayed home today and as I type this he has been napping for over 3 hours. We will probably pay for it this evening but I can't help but feel if he is still asleep his body must need it.
This is Tomas this morning sharing his breakfast of strawberries and Cheerios with Petey and Rufus. He was waiting for his banana waffle to be toasted and that he did not share.

Tomas just had a bath and was waiting for me to give him a little snack before bed. Of course instead of making him something I'm busy trying to take his picture- this did not make him happy and he was getting impatient.
We had a fun day planned today- we were going to go to the children's museum which is supposed be excellent for toddlers- lots for them to do. We got gas and then Brian and I got coffee and muffins for the road. We were giving Tomas little bites (he already had breakfast) when he gagged, coughed and then threw up on himself, the car seat and the diaper bag. We got him cleaned up and changed but an hour after leaving we were back home. He was sick on Friday but I think the incident today was just a fluke.
Lately Tomas has been copying some of the things we do- snapping his fingers along with me, "helping" Brian with his tools, sweeping, the sounds we make. He also has been very happy playing on the deck in the backyard but now he wants to get into the yard. We block the stairs but everytime we let the dogs in or out from the deck he makes a break for it. His latest word is "up" which sounds like "up-uh". And much to the delight of the dogs- when Tomas is done eating he turns his plate upside down and throws whatever's left on the floor. Cute.
Just to give you an idea of how tall he is now. Tomas has my keys in his hand and he is trying to "unlock" the door. He can reach the doorknobs now but can't quite get his hand around it enough turn it all the way. When that happens we are really in trouble.

Satruday was Tomas' first time eating corn on the cob. Brian held it for him at first but he soon got into it and wanted to take control. He loves to look in the refrigerator and there was a bowl of strawberries on the shelf that he just helped himself to. He would eat as much as he could without eating the stem and then put them back into the bowl-we were left with 3 or 4 partially eaten strawberries. The blackeye is 2 days old in the photos- looks about the same today.
Breakfast was mandarin oranges, cereal (Apple Jacks & Cheerios), and a little bit of a english muffin with peanut butter. Tomas is still not a big fan of peanut butter but at least he no longer rejects it entirely. The days here have been beautiful- sunny, cool and clear- and I swear this tree was green only a few days ago.
